ABOUT ME:
As a business owner, busy Mom, and someone who loves, err… no - someone who NEEDS to workout (lol), when I became a mom, I had to develop strategies to make my workouts as time efficient and effective as possible. I learned to focus on “big bang exercises” - on compound movements that target multiple muscle groups whilst challenging my movement skills. By keeping rest intervals short, I was able to maximize my efforts and put in a ton of focused work. That’s when I realized that time was not the enemy - with quality programming anyone can get an incredible workout and still leave plenty of time for the 12,000 other tasks they confront in their daily lives.
MY BACKGROUND:
As a competitive swimmer and gymnast, my passion for fitness and movement was fostered from a very young age. This laid the foundation for a lifelong love of exercise and the desire to share that passion with others. I began by teaching fitness classes and hitting gym workouts, but it wasn’t till I was studying for my Masters in Health Psychology that my path to fitness as a career was made clear.
It was then that I became intrigued by the various behaviour change models and how they related to exercise adherence. What makes people begin an exercise program? More importantly, what motivates them to stick with it? It was my quest for answers to these questions along with my intense passion for exercise that led me to study health and wellness and to become certified as a personal trainer, fitness instructor and yoga teacher.
Over the course of my career, I learned how important culture and community is to making lifelong changes. Sharing workouts, recipes, stories… with likeminded people encourages a culture of support and acceptance. It inspires lifelong friendships and a feeling of belonging to something very special. What started as a small group of neighbourhood Moms seeking fun, creative, and time efficient workouts, has quickly evolved into a growing community of mutually supportive and highly dedicated individuals. As a group, we sweat together, we laugh together, sometimes we even cry together. It is these shared moments that keep us together - that keep us coming back for more…
UPON FURTHER REFLECTION
Writing this bio has encouraged me to reflect upon my personal health and fitness journey. Looking back, I realize how natural my path into fitness has been. Making a career out of my passion has been such an incredible blessing! I wake up every morning excited for the what the day may bring; excited to connect with my incredible fitness community and deliver services that I truly believe enrich people’s lives!

Personal touch – all ages, fitness levels and backgrounds are welcome as exercises/workout structure is tailored to meet the varying needs of the participant. Injuries, health concerns, or any other limitations or special needs are addressed in the programming prior to and during class.
Variety – With me, no 2 workouts are ever the same! I believe in trying new things, pushing individual limits, and most importantly HAVING FUN! Making progress and enjoying the ride are absolutely critical to developing lifelong habits.
Improved Strength, Fitness and Mobility - Expect to push past former health and fitness barriers. Whether it’s a strength plateau, a range of motion limitation, or a mental barrier, you will experience results in all your areas of need.
Increased Confidence – I will not go easy on you - my workouts will test your resolve! While you can expect a very positive, supportive and reassuring approach, I am a results oriented person by nature. Expect to be held accountable as I gently and graciously help you push past your mental hurdles.
